The APU1 is an all-in-one device aimed at the OBD1 GM platform. It burns and reads chips, does ALDL datalogging and realtime chip emulation in one USB device that does not require an external power supply! Specifically, it programs AT29C256, 27SF512 chips and reads 27C32, 27C128, 27C256, 27C512 chips. Performs ALDL communications at 160 and 8192 baud. Has 3-channel 0-5v 10-bit A/D provision for wideband and other datalogging. Package includes AutoProm device, 28-pin 18-inch emulation cable, OBD1-style ALDL cable CABL1, 6-ft USB cable, 1x 27SF512 chip, 1x 29F040 chip, and a license for Mark Mansur's "TunerPro RT" software. (Note: Also fully compatible with TunerCats OBD1 Tuner software) PLEASE READ through product documentation to understand how to use the features of this device.

Although the APU1 is a multifunction device, you'll still need a chip adapter (and probably a ZIF) to have a complete tuning solution - be sure to select a G1, G2, G2X, G3, G4 or G5 chip adapter if you do not have one already.
